DIEGO M. BUCETA

Higher degree in interpretation by the Escola Superior de Arte Dramática de Galicia (2005-2009). Between 2009 and 2010 I trained in circus arts at the Carampa School in Madrid, specializing in aerial techniques (fixed trapeze and fabrics). In 2010, I entered the Royal Professional Conservatory of Contemporary Dance in Madrid, studies that I finish at the Professional Dance Conservatory of Granada in 2015.

 

I develop my professional career in creative productions such as Álvaro Frutos / Los negros (Waterloo, Zaragoza, 2017/2018), Xarope Tulú (Nómades, Galicia, 2018), Olga Cameselle (Leixaprem, Galicia, 2017), Sharon Fridman (Nest / Rhizoma , Holland, 2016), Tino Sehgal (Instead of Allowing Some Thing to Rise Up to Your Face Dancing Bruce and Dan and Other Things, Seville, 2015/2016), Jorge Crecis (Whistleblower, Granada, 2015) and Antonio Ruz (Manipula, Granada, 2014) between others.

 

I complement my training with professionals such as Lucas Condró, Sharon Fridman, Laly Ayguade, Les Slovaks, Rootlessroot Company, Jose Agudo (Akram Khan Company), Jorge Crecis, Daniel Abreu, Dairakudakan Temputenshiki, Cranämour Company, Hisako Horikawa and Patricia Caballero, among others.

 

I am currently part of Belén Bouzas and Fran Martínez of the arts company Prácido Domingo, with which we develop our own works and Aikido workshops applied to dance. Non hai que ser unha casa para ter pantasmas is our first creation together, winner of the 1st prize in the contest Xuventude Crea 2017 and Prize of the Critic of the Choreographic Contest of Madrid in 2018.

 

As vacaciones mais longas is my first solo work gestated within the call of residences of creation Para · Iso (collective RPM / AGADIC), finalist in the International Contest Solodos en danza 2017 (Ourense) and premiered in its long version in May 2018 at the Teatro Ensalle of Vigo within the Vigo en Bruto Festival. In the FIOT of Carballo, within his Certame Un Metro Cadrado, I receive the prize for the best interpretation.
